It’s now rather clear that the Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg is going to buy Saab from General Motors. Whether it’s a smart move or not, only time will tell. However, although it’s not related to American cars, this topic is still rather interesting for me. I’m just rather curious what kind of cars the company will begin to produce. Ofcourse it might just be that Saab will continue pretty much the same way as under GM but I believe that we might see a supercar somewhat cheaper than Koenigsegg going to be sold under the Saab brand. Perhaps they will also transfer some of the Koenigsegg’s advanced features over to their popular 9-3 and 9-5 series cars.
Being under GM, I believe Saab produced a truly American style SUV with a small block V8. Now it’s going to be the time for Koenigsegg to show Saab what kind of cars they like the best :)
